Provisions

All students are subject to the current SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS provided at time of enrollment. Adherence is required at all times.

REGULATIONS FOR STUDENT REGISTRATION

Student registrations must be accompanied with a $150 (One Hundred Dollars – USD) deposit no later than four (4) weeks prior to commencement of study.

STUDENT CONDUCT

All students shall be required to maintain a common level of basic courtesy and respect towards fellow students, faculty and the school premises at all times during their educational time frame.

WARNING: Students are subject to Philippine law while visiting the Philippines. It is advised that that all students govern their actions accordingly.  

STUDENT REPORTING

In the event a student experiences any type of problem or difficulty (related or unrelated with the CIJ Academy&School) students should advise the CIJ administrative unit immediately for assistance.

AUTHORITY AND EXTENT OF SCHOOL RESPONSIBILITY

  1. CIJ Academy&School limits its liability in any manner (regarding extra-curricular activities sanctioned and approved by the school) and will not be responsible for loss or damage incidents beyond its control.
  2. Responsibility to guests, students or relations associated with the student shall be limited to the immediate CIJ Academy&School grounds. CIJ Academy&School accepts no responsibility or liability as to the conduct, actions and/or consequences thereof of any student while outside of the immediate CIJ grounds.
  3. School fees such as tuition, taxes or other incidentals (direct or indirect), may be subject to (from time to time) to changes without advance notice. CIJ Academy&School will make its best efforts to advise clients of any changes within its control.
  4. All students and clients are subject to various media exposure (including but not limited to) photographs, narrative testimonials or the like, which may be used from time to time in the promotion of CIJ Academy&School services.

IMMIGRATION STAY AND GUIDANCE

  1. PICK-UP AND DEPARTURE
    Pick-up of the given organization departure date is free. Departure of the individual must be paid before leaving the pick-up fee cost is $20. When returning home, there is no send-off to the airport.
    Movement between the CIJ Academy Classic Campus and Sparta Campus is possible in two weeks basis. You pay 1,000 pesos before the move. (Movement between the campus is available on Saturday and Sunday of the weekend).
  2. AIRLINE TICKETING ADVISEMENT
    CIJ Academy&School advises all students originating from your country to purchase an “OPEN TICKET (in advance) referencing the return path. For further explanation, please consult your travel agent or airline directly. CIJ is not responsible or connected with any airline travel services.
  3. HOLIDAY OPERATIONS
    CIJ Academy&School does not operate any regular or temporary scheduled classroom schedules during recognized Philippine regular holidays and public holidays. Limited access to some school facilities may be in effect during these periods. Refunds or tuition credit during these periods will not be considered.

NON-INCLUSIVE COSTS

ITEMS NOT INCLUDED WITH TUITION:
The following are not included: Medical expenses, additional tuition, dormitory change, educational material costs, electricity and water charges (as per meter) and basic laundry outside the included washing costs (free first 3KG). Fees and expenses are subject to change and should be anticipated.

DEPOSIT:
A good faith deposit (or the local/foreign equivalent) is required for each student of CIJ Academy&School prior to entering to the dormitory. Deposits allow for use of school property and offset of incidental expenses accrued by the student above beyond the normal scope of tuition.

TUITION PROVISIONS

  1. PROGRAM CHAGES:
    Changes to learning programs may be made up to four weeks into the program. Please consult your program manager to discuss program changes and eligibility.
  2. CLASS EXTENTION:
    Class extensions may be extended to 4 weeks at additional cost. Dormitory availability may not apply due to previously scheduled reservations by other students
  3. CLASS FORMS:
    Class form of the basic 1: 1 will be progress in the form of tuition and group tuition. There are cases where tuition is modified at the discretion of the school. It is impossible to change the tuition of existing students, if you have a lecture time and lecturers vacant, you can apply for changes.
    Change of class(es) consultations are provided every Saturday.
  4. ALTERNATIVE PROVISIONS:
    Students performing below or well above the minimum level of achievement standards may be reassigned to more appropriate curriculum as recommended CIJ management. In the event a daily class is cancelled by CIJ management for any reason, the student may request an alternative supplemental class upon request.
  5. TEXTBOOK CHANGES:
    Textbooks are issued on the first day of class according to specific selections made during the student consultation with the CIJ Education Manager. Textbooks are delivered in new (unused) condition. Changes in student materials and textbooks are permitted so long as the condition reflects a good market ready condition.
  6. LATE AND ABSENT:
    Students should make every effort to arrive on time for their scheduled classes to avoid disrupting the class progress. Students may be considered “Late” four minutes after the class start time or “Absent” fifteen minutes after class start time, which may result in the forfeiting of that class or other penalties. Please consult with the school management office regarding absence issues.
  7. TIME-TABLE / CLASS CHANGES:
    All change of class requests should be directed to the school management office. Class or time-table changes are subject to availability.

DORMATORY PERSONAL PROVISIONS

  1. DORMITORY ROOM KEY:
    Students are advised to have control of their dormitory room key at all times and to lock the room when not in use. Dormitory room keys may be left with the school office for safe-keeping. CIJ Academy&School will not be responsible for negative factors resulting from loss of room key.
  1. PERSONAL ITEMS:
    Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, towel, toilet tissue ARE NOT provided and is the responsibility of the student to furnish.
  1. DORMATORY ROOM TRANSFERS:
    Room changes may only take place at the beginning of each monthly cycle. Please consult with the school office regarding changing rooms.
  1. OCCUPANCY AND USE OF ROOM:
    Dormitory rooms may only be occupied (as a daily living unit) by the contracted student. Items such as cigarette lighters, matches, candles, gas burners, coffee pots and similar items that may cause fire should not be used. Please see management for assistance with these types of items.
  2. ROOM CLEANING AND LAUNDRY:
    Room cleaning is provided twice per week. Please see bulletin board for room and laundry schedules as they vary. Items such as shoes, hats and items requiring special attention are not permitted or advised to be placed into regular wash services. CIJ Academy&School is not responsible for the damage to items placed with laundry services.
  1. LINEN AND BEDDING:
    Clean linen and bedding is provided at regular intervals throughout the month. Bedding is only available to the student.
  2. STRICTLY PROHIBITED:
    Smoking, drinking of alcoholic beverages and sleeping between men and women is strictly prohibited. Severe disciplinary actions will result for those in violation.
  3. QUIET TIME:
    Between the hours of 9:00 PM and 7:00AM silence or low volume activity will be observed in order to respect the other students who may be sleeping.
  1. CONSERVATION OF ENERGY:
    Please consider reducing your energy costs by turning off lights, appliances or A/C while the room is unoccupied for extended periods of time.
  2. AUTHORITY TO ENTER DORMATORY ROOM:
    Management will maintain the right to enter student dormitory rooms with short notice for safety, routine inspection or safety concerns.
  3. DORMITORY DEPOSITS:
    Deposits will be returned at time of checkout less any charges for damage or outside expenses related to student account.
  4. VISITORS:
    All visitors must have permission from the administrator prior to entering school grounds or exiting the building with student. Visitors are limited to conducting their visit only in the break room.
  1. REGISTRAION PERIODS RELATING TO ROOM:
    Please pay attention to the possibility of the need to extend your room reservation. If the registration period has not been extended, existing room or other room may not be readily available.
  2. OVERSTAY:
    In the event of an overstay (for any reason), the following daily room and board (includes meals) charges will apply:
  • Single Room: 2,000 pesos
  • Double Rooms; 1,500 pesos
  • Triple and Quarter Rooms: 1,200 pesos

EXTENDED ABSENCE/REQUEST TO EXTEND CURFEW:

The goal of the CIJ Academy&School is to provide a quality, safe and productive learning environment. Students are required to comply with all aspects of living conditions and school rules in order to accomplish our goals. In some cases, it is permitted that students may extend curfew hours by obtaining prior authorization from the management staff.

TRAVEL PLANS:

In the event of extended outside travel, please consult with the management office. You may be required to present verifiable proof of your travel plans (to and from your destination).

CIJ WARNING PROHIBITED ACTIVITY PROVISIONS SUMMARY
◈ Entering a dormitory room of opposite gender – Dismissal from academy.
◈ Bringing alcoholic beverages and gambling – Dismissal from academy.
◈ Altering the dormitory room or common areas or equipment
◈ Introducing dangerous materials into the dormitory.
◈ Making loud noise like listening to loud music and shouting .
◈ Making political and religious group rally / Bringing wild animals or any pets
◈ Selling and trading items inside the academy / Absence without information
◈ Going to places such as casinos and KTV’s.
◈ Without permission of having overnight and not following the curfew students.
◈ Unattractive attitude.
◈ Illegal or inappropriate activity.

Warning letters are issued to those violating school policies and conduct rules. Further actions beyond warning letters may include dismissal from school.

REFUND POLICIES:

Refunds will be considered by the CIJ Academy&School as follows:

  • After consultation with the responsible manager prior to departure
  • Prior application for a refund in writing.

After the refund application is authorized CIJ Academy&School:

  • CIJ will notify the responsible student agent for authorization
  • Description of refund accounting will be provided
  • Please allow up to four weeks for refund.

After Arrival

If you want to claim a refund within four weeks after the arrival, you can receive a refund of 60% of the tuition and accommodation dormitory fee.

Further, in the case of more than 4 weeks after the arrival, you can receive a refund of 30% of the accommodation expenses and tuition fees.

※Cancellation due to illness of a family members in a direct line, can be refunded 50% of tuition (as a unit of 4 weeks) and dormitory & food fee.
( Need to present Medical certificate and Receipt)
※ Refund your tuition is possible as a unit of 4weeks only, and need to apply as a document.
※ You can receive the money in your account 4 weeks later from applying for your refund.

Changing Course

If you want to change your course, remaining period has to be at least 2 weeks.
You cannot receive a refund for the difference between the two courses.

The following cannot be refunded: 
※ Students who registered under 4 weeks are not able to get a refund.
※ Arrival in the middle of the course or absence with a personal reason are non-refundable and cannot be covered with the make-up class.
※ Any discounted tuition or benefits from the third party is strictly prohibited.

Checkout Provision

Prior to departure, students must empty the room before the registration deadline of 12:30 P.M.
At the time of room checkout, utility fees should be paid at this time. Unpaid utility fees may also be deducted from the deposit.
