MISA經驗談 – FIRST TOUR IN CEBU

Hello everyone, yesterday was a celebration “independent day” so I didn’t have a class, and this is the result of my one day not coming to class.

San Pedro Fortress is located next to the harbor and inside has the oldest castle in the Philippines compared to both Santiago Castle in Manila. The fortress was built by the first Spaniards invading the Philippines to defend against Muslims in the southern Philippines.

During World War II, San Pedro castle was used to defend against the Japanese; barracks were used as military officers during the US military rule; Now it has been transformed into a classroom.

The San Pedro Fortress is located next to the pier, the first Spanish station to enter Cebu, later transformed into a memorial park.

There is a museum in San Pedro castle, which displays the art treasures of ancient Spanish boats and is also known as the sunken “San Diego”.
